| NOTES: #1) This patch was the "Unofficial" patch of the 814th Flight Line Security troops until the 814th APS was morphed into the 814th CDS in 1960. The unit did not have an official historian through whom the design could be registered with the Air Force Historical Research Agency (AFHRA). #2) This patch was worn by both the 814th CDS Base Police and 814th Flight Line Security personnel after 1960, since they now fell under the 814th Combat Support Group. The 814th Combat Support Group did have it's own officially designated historian and as such its patch was registered with the AFHRA.
